“Will tutoring actually work for my kid?”

In all my years as a tutor, the #1 question parents should have asked me but never have is if my tutoring will give their kids the help they really need to understand course material and get better test scores.
Because when you hire a tutor, the ONLY thing you should be concerned with is if they will WORK.

Now, before hiring a tutor, always ask yourself: Will this tutor

  • Move forward with the best interests of both myself and my kid in mind?

  • Be willing to accommodate our hectic family schedule?

  • Work day or night to make sure their students succeed?

When you work with me, the answer is a resounding YES to each of those questions.

Hi, I’m Ben Godgart and I’m the tutoring headmaster for The STEM Tutor.

After I graduated college in 2017, I began tutoring local students and quickly became a sought-after homebound instructor for the East Greenbush Central School District.

Homebound instructors are not just regular tutors - we are tutors who are vetted and approved by the District Board of Directors. We’re often assigned to district students who are absent from school for at least 10 consecutive days. As a result, I have years of experience working closely with guidance counselors, parents, and teachers. All of this comes together to create a unique, holistic approach to tutoring you won’t find anywhere else.

Now, I’ve transitioned to private tutoring.

And after several years, I’ve honed my techniques for teaching students how to master challenging content and become confident in their test-taking abilities.
